“An increase in the load, which is not supported by human potential, leads to overstrain of the personnel that work and provide round-the-clock surgical care,” he told 360 TV.

As the doctor emphasized, in this situation, the topic of wages did not play a decisive role.

“Our main condition is personnel strengthening, improved diagnostics around the clock, and legal protection of the doctor in front of the patient and his relatives,” he explained.

According to him, the load intensification began about two years ago, and the situation worsened gradually: first the doctors coped, and then the difficulties began.

Earlier media reported that all surgeons of the Nizhny Tagil hospital wrote a letter of resignation due to the workload and inappropriate pay.

As noted in the Kremlin, the situation is a cause for reaction from the regional authorities and the Ministry of Health.

The governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev announced the holding of a meeting in connection with the dismissal of doctors.

Later, the hospital’s press service said that two surgeons decided to withdraw the letter of resignation after meeting with the head of the regional Ministry of Health.
