Estonia declared desire to strengthen military cooperation with USA

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said that Tallinn wants to strengthen defense cooperation with the United States, as they provided the republic with "the greatest assistance in ensuring security."

This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the Estonian Foreign Ministry.

“The United States has provided the greatest assistance in ensuring our security, and Estonia wants defense cooperation to become even stronger in the future,” he said at a meeting with US Senator Ron Wyden.

According to him, the USA was “a key ally” for Estonia, therefore, they work in Tallinn “in the name of strengthening ties”.

Reinsalu and Widen discussed relations between the two countries and “threats to the region from Russia.”

Earlier in Tallinn, they advocated the effective expulsion of illegal immigrants from the EU.
