Lars Kratz is head of the child and education administration in the municipality and he says he is not so surprised by this.

- Since I have known that there have been problems, I am not surprised. This may speed up getting these measures done, he says.

How have people reacted to this?

- We have just come out with this so the parents of the students have not been able to respond. The staff were a little surprised at the same time as they also knew that there were problems in the past.

Moved to a former classroom

It is now arranged with replacement rooms in central Rättvik for affected students who start school on August 20. The parts that are closed down are the old part of the school and it will be valid throughout the 2019/20 academic year. However, the school will be able to run as usual in the newly renovated part and in the module outside which is a private property.

The grades F-2 will be moved to premises that used to belong to the Dal-Jerksskolan, which is a few hundred meters from the Nyhedsskolan.
