Trump says he received a letter from Kim Jong Un in person and said it was very beautiful and positive.

[Trump / US President: I think we will have another meeting with Chairman Kim. I wrote a very beautiful three-letter letter. It is a beautiful letter from beginning to end.]

Kim explained in detail the dissatisfaction with the ROK-US training in his letter.

[Trump / U.S. President Kim does not like the ROK-US training. We do small training, but he doesn't like it. I wrote this in a letter.]

He repeatedly stated that he did not like ROK-US combined training due to cost concerns.

[Trump / US President: I never like ROK-US combined training. Because I hate paying for training. We need to get the training back and tell it to Korea.]

Kim Jong-un responded to the chairman's negative stance on ROK-US combined training, even though he would hand over training costs to the Korean government.

In addition, North Korea has repeatedly said it has not had a nuclear test or a long-range missile launch in North Korea.

Kim's letter says President Trump's positive response has increased the likelihood that the two sides will resume working-level negotiations after the ROK-US Combined Training.
