Detonation of powder charges on the territory of a military unit in the village of Kamenka, Krasnoyarsk Territory, has stopped. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Dmitry Bulgakov after, together with the Governor Alexander Uss, representatives of the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, flying around the fire at the warehouse of the Logistics Center of the Central Military District with the Mi-8 helicopter.

“The detonation of powder charges in a warehouse in the Achinsk region has stopped. However, there remains a threat of detonation of individual ammunition, ”RIA Novosti quoted Bulgakov as saying.

The representative of the defense department also called the preliminary cause of the incident.

“The preliminary reason is the human factor. Investigative bodies and the prosecutor’s office will say more precisely, ”the deputy defense minister emphasized.

Despite this, the emergency regime persists in the city of Achinsk, as well as in the Achinsk and Nazarovsky districts.

In turn, the mayor of Achinsk, Eli Akhmetov, at a meeting of the operational headquarters, said that there was a "spontaneous return of people to the city." In this regard, he issued a warning.

"The emergency mode in Achinsk is maintained, the townspeople are not recommended to go beyond the so-called" Red Line "- the zone of possible risk ... Now provocations of various insolents are possible, I ask you to immediately inform the police and call the police!" - explained mayor.

At the same time, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory instructed the authorities of the Achinsk region to quickly begin work on assessing the damage, which, first of all, was caused to the housing and property of the city residents, objects of social, engineering and transport infrastructure.

“The governor instructed to ensure the provision of targeted financial assistance to affected citizens,” the statement said.

In addition, Alexander Uss instructed the regional head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to prevent a racket of looters in the Achinsk region. In addition, the group of rescuers who will organize the search and evacuation of the population to temporary accommodation centers is growing near the place of emergency.

As TASS notes with reference to the regional Ministry of Emergencies, 38 points of temporary accommodation of people, in which almost 4 thousand people are located, are organized in the city. At the same time, two electric trains with evacuated from Achinsk have already arrived in Krasnoyarsk.

“There are no excesses in hygienic standards for the content of: carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, suspended solids, mercury vapor, lead vapor in the air. The gamma-radiation background corresponds to natural indicators, ”the report of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare explains.

12 injured and one missing

Ignition in the territory of the storage of powder charges for artillery ammunition in the Krasnoyarsk Territory occurred on Monday, August 5, at about 13:00 Moscow time. After the fire began, explosions in warehouses followed, where more than 25 thousand shells were located. The flight of fragments from the explosions of ammunition reached 15 km. Meanwhile, for the safety of residents of settlements adjacent to the territory of the military facility, rescuers began the evacuation of people within a radius of 20 km from the emergency site. At the same time, the personnel of the military unit in the village of Kamenka took refuge in a bomb shelter. Despite the measures taken, more than 10 people were injured.

To extinguish the fire attracted two fire trains. In addition, the Ministry of Defense transferred two multifunctional robotic fire-fighting systems “Uran-14” to the region. In total, over 150 people and 50 pieces of equipment are involved in the elimination of emergency.

In turn, the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, said that a total of 12 people applied for medical help, nothing threatens their life and health. In addition, another local resident is reported missing.

“I would like to thank all the services - both the military, and the Ministry of Emergencies, and the city authorities - and, above all, the population for the organization and patience shown during the evacuation. That night, of course, there was a lot of stress - and at the station, and on the tracks, and on the streets. Nevertheless, we can say that the evacuation of the population was successful, ”Uss told reporters.
