Dozens of Palestinians were injured Friday by the Israeli occupation forces' attack on the Mandeqa outpost, the demolition of buildings in Wadi al-Homs neighborhood east of occupied Jerusalem, and the participants in the return marches and the siege of the eastern Gaza Strip.

According to eyewitnesses, dozens of Palestinians held Friday prayers in the Wadi al-Homs neighborhood, condemning the demolition of buildings in the neighborhood by the Israeli occupation forces. However, the Israeli army fired tear gas canisters after the prayer, causing dozens of suffocations.

In Gaza, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 37 demonstrators were injured, including 18 live bullets, as a result of the Israeli army's attack on the participants in the return marches and the siege of the eastern Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses said two of the wounded were journalists, Osama al-Kahlout and Hatem Omar. They added that Kahlout, a local newspaper reporter, was hit by a live bullet in the foot. Omar, a photographer for Xinhua, was hit by rubber bullets on both feet.

The Supreme National Committee for Return and Breaking the Siege has called on the people of the Gaza Strip to participate in the day of the "Wadi Hummus massacre" in solidarity with the owners of destroyed homes in East Jerusalem.

The Israeli army violently represses the peaceful return marches that began at the end of March 2018, killing dozens of Palestinians and injuring thousands.
