Granules of homeopathy. LOIC VENANCE / AFP

Forty-five deputies of all stripes say " no to the derogation of homeopathy " in a tribune published in Le Journal du Dimanche .

These deputies, including five of the majority, oppose the government's decision to no longer progressively repay homeopathic medicines.

They do not understand why this practice is so disturbing. While this practice of more than 200 years is registered in the French pharmacopoeia since 1965.

In France, one in three general practitioners prescribes prescriptions for homeopathic medicines, which users consider effective. Homeopathy can help reduce the consumption of certain medications and for certain diseases it is also an alternative to certain treatments.

A decision in favor of traditional medicine

These 45 deputies also consider that the total disbursement of homeopathy will inevitably lead to a high percentage of transfer to traditional medicine, which is more expensive and also more risky.

For them, it is still time for the government to backtrack
and maintain the level of reimbursement at 30% of this therapeutic method. As is the case today.

Among the members who oppose the government's decision, the Member of Parliament La Republique En Marche, Mireille Robert.
