As the representative of the Moscow Interregional Investigation Department for Transport (MMSUT) of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Elena Markovskaya, indicated to the agency, an investigative-operational team is currently working at the scene of the incident.

“A set of necessary verification measures was organized aimed at establishing all the circumstances and causes of what happened,” she said.

At the same time, Ekaterina Korotkova, a representative of the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office (MITI), indicated that the agency’s officers had organized a “routine inspection of ground services at Sheremetyevo Airport, during which an assessment was made of this aviation event.”

Earlier it was reported that the plane, which was supposed to fly from Moscow to Yerevan, stopped taking off at Sheremetyevo airport due to a signal of smoke in the cockpit. Later it became known about the hospitalization of two people in connection with an emergency.

Rosaviatsiya created a commission to investigate the causes of this incident.
