Test the food of the space, dance under the Nave of the Grand Palais or simply watch the Moon with the telescope: to celebrate 50 years of the first steps of the Man on our satellite, conferences, workshops and show will punctuate the night from Saturday to Sunday.

On Sunday, the City of Space in Toulouse will present in the middle of its gardens a replica of real size of the lunar module. Astronauts Claudie Haigneré, Philippe Perrin, Matthias Maurer, President of CNES (National Center for Space Studies) Jean-Yves Le Gall or the delegate of NASA for Europe will make the trip.

On July 20, 1969, the first steps of the Man on the Moon had been broadcast live at the Palais de la découverte in Paris. Fifty years later, lovers of the lunar star can meet there for events scheduled all week-end, day and night.

From 22h to 2h in the morning, the evening "The Moon illuminates our nights" will be followed by an opera of tubes of the 60s and 70s, a film concert "Moonwalk One" punctuated by the music of the Nantes trio Invaders, a number of acrobatics "without gravity" ...

Just behind, at the Grand Palais, the "Moon" evening with astronauts Claudie Haigneré and Thomas Pesquet will allow you to listen to Arnaud Rebotini's Dj set or to dance around a giant Moon installed under the Nave to the sound of the Hot band Chip. The trapeze artist Chloé Moglia will play the astronauts, the artist Ange Leccia will mix archive footage of the lunar mission and a David Bowie clip.

The Bourget Air and Space Museum, near Paris, offers visitors the chance to "adorn themselves with its finest 60s outfits" to discover "the secrets of the Apollo 11 mission" by donning an " Moonboot ". A strange ship is expected in the evening ...

At the planetarium Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon, the French astronaut Michel Tognini will officiate (the Apollo missions told by an astronaut).

In Bordeaux, the team of Cap Sciences will propose Saturday afternoon a game of "survival on the Moon" and shell the 7 Apollo missions, photos and articles to support.

The French Association of Astronomy (AFA) also organizes many events in France, observations planned at the Astro Club 85 Serigné (Vendée) to an electro party at the Observatory of Haute Correo (Hautes-Alpes) while passing by launches of microfuse in Aillon-le-Jeune (Savoie).
