He said this at a press conference, reports "Liga.net".

According to Vakarchuk, this practice is used in many countries: for example, in the United States in 1799, the Logan Act was adopted, criminalizing any negotiations with those countries with which the United States had conflicts.

“We propose a law similar in spirit and content. Its full name will be “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the prohibition of separatist negotiations with representatives of the aggressor state,” said Vakarchuk.

In particular, he proposed to amend Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “State Treason”, adding to it the possibility of applying punishment for negotiations with Russia. Vakarchuk proposes to deprive negotiators of freedom for a period of 13 to 15 years and prohibit them from holding certain posts for a period of up to five years.

It is proposed to oblige the Security Service of Ukraine to respond to such negotiations.

Earlier, Vakarchuk’s party submitted documents necessary for participation in the elections to the CEC of Ukraine.
