It is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

It clarifies that the department is concerned about the fact of the meeting of the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban with the head of the Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia Vasyl Brenzovich in Budapest, as well as a number of visits to the Transcarpathian region of Hungarian officials.

Also, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine expresses concern about the statements of the Hungarian side in support of certain candidates to the Verkhovna Rada.

“We consider such actions of the Hungarian side a violation of diplomatic canons and the spirit of good-neighborliness,” the message says.

The Ukrainian side called on Hungarian politicians to refrain from visits to Transcarpathia until the end of the elections to the Rada.

Earlier, Istvan Iidyarto was summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine for a conversation because of the words of Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto about the law on education and the law on language.
