A source in «Freedom and Change» that the request for postponement was dictated by the need, for further consultation on the document of the agreement handed over by the mediator, which carries the political declaration and constitutional restriction of the work of the transitional period.

There were differences over the constitutional declaration, the most important of which was the provision of absolute immunity to the president and members of the sovereign council, from any legal prosecution during the three years of the transitional period.

The President of the Transitional Military Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan Abdulrahman, met with the US Special Envoy to Sudan Donald Booth yesterday, and discussed the developments of the ongoing talks between the Council and the forces of freedom and change. , And proof that the Sudanese people waited a long time to see this government.

For his part, the American envoy explained that the meeting was good and fruitful, and expressed optimism that the Sudanese will soon achieve their dreams of forming a government led by civilian and independent prime minister, and revealed that he is talking with all parties in this regard.

He said the United States is interested and committed to helping the Sudanese reach an agreement on arrangements for the transitional period and that it wants to see the Sudan has passed the current stage. He added that the United States will work with other Sudanese international partners to ensure that the Sudanese have made a breakthrough in this regard.
