Val di Fiemme (AP) - The German nordic combined have narrowly missed a victory in the team sprint in Val di Fiemme.

The duos Johannes Rydzek and Vinzenz Geiger as well as Eric Frenzel and Fabian Rießle had to beat the Norwegians Joergen Graabak and Jan Schmid by 0.5 seconds after a thrilling competition on the track over 2 x 7.5 kilometers and took the ranks two and three three.
