The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a woman to six months in prison after being convicted of assault and causing permanent disability to another woman in one eye.

The details of the incident began when a women quarrel broke out between two Arab women, one of them sustained a permanent disability in one eye after receiving a punch from the other, due to a dispute over the arrangement of the apartment, according to investigations by the Public Prosecution in Dubai in the case considered by the Criminal Court.

The incident began when a 34-year-old defendant (NPA) and a victim (H.T.), aged 36, from two different Arab states, were in a joint apartment. The victim said she was fed up with her neighbor's behavior, asking her to arrange her scattered objects everywhere, but she did not respond and insisted on leaving her clothes scattered all over the apartment in the Muraqqabat area. She added that the defendant replied that she would leave her objects in the place where she likes, and then escalated the situation to a verbal argument between them, developed into a clash with the hands.

The victim said that the defendant assaulted her in several places in her body and then hit her hand to the right eye and hit her with a partial loss of sight.

An eyewitness reported that she was in her room when she heard a verbal altercation between the two women. She went out and separated them with others. The victim beat the accused. Minutes later, the quarrel broke out again, and this time the defendant hit the victim and wounded her in the eye.

Eyewitnesses reported that the blood suddenly burst from the eye of the victim and screamed in pain. The police and the ambulance were called to the hospital and it turned out that she had been seriously injured in the eye, which resulted in a partial loss of sight.

The defendant did not appear in the first sessions of the trial to face charges and was convicted by the court and sentenced to six months imprisonment and deportation.
