For the first time since the beginning of his presidency, Donald Trump has opposed this Friday, March 15, his veto to a resolution passed by the Congress. The previous day, it had canceled its declaration of national emergency to unblock military funds to build the wall on the border with Mexico.

" It's my duty, " said Donald Trump, using his veto for the first time in his term. After being humiliated by his own majority, the president is forced to go into force.

On Thursday, March 14, the Congress passed the resolution canceling the presidential declaration of state of national emergency, taken on February 15th. Along with the Democrats, 19 Republican senators have opposed this exceptional measure that allows the president to draw $ 7 to 8 billion in the budget of the army to finance its anti-immigration wall.

" Congress voted against the reality, " today trumps Donald Trump. The president says it is a national emergency, it is a huge migration crisis. " Some people do not like that word, but it's an invasion, an invasion of drugs and criminals, " he said at a signing ceremony in the Oval Office.

But according to the Democrats, this crisis at the border is actually no reality; she's built up by Trump to keep her flagship campaign promise.

For their part, the rebellious Republicans say they voted with the opposition to mark their opposition to Donald Trump's effort to bypass the US Congress twice. He can still overcome his veto, but it will be very difficult: he needs a two-thirds majority.
