In Venezuela, self-proclaimed interim President Juan Guaido has taken the Colombian border road this Thursday, February 21, to demand the entry of humanitarian aid stored for two weeks in Cucuta, Colombia. Thousands of volunteers also traveled to different points of the border to support the opponent's move.

The departure of "caravans", as the opposition calls them, was sounded this Thursday morning in Caracas. Several deputies were seen in a procession of a dozen vehicles, including buses and 4x4, from the capital. The spokesman of Juan Guaido assures that the opponent were among them, but no one has seen it and no photo has leaked.

Apart from this very official procession, nothing was really organized for the departure of the volunteers. Most are heading to the border on their own. The journey looks difficult. Shortages of gas and food forced them to stockpile.

All these volunteers make this journey in the greatest uncertainty. Hard to know if the army will allow them to access the border. " On the way, there will be a lot of controls. We have avoided shipping any symbol that could identify us because our only threat is the military and guerrilla, "says Beatriz. In recent days, several military contingents have been deployed in the state of Tachira, border of Cucuta, to cordon off the area and prevent the entry of humanitarian aid, scheduled for Saturday by Juan Guaido.

In the meantime, two concerts will be organized this Friday morning: one for the entrance of humanitarian aid Colombian side, the other in support of Nicolas Maduro Venezuelan side. Only 300 meters should separate the two scenes. A double-concert symbol of the arm-wrestle that divides Venezuela.
