The tone rises between President Nicolas Maduro and self-proclaimed transition president Juan Guaido. The first accused Saturday the second to prepare a plot for the murder. And threatened to put him in prison. A statement following the arrest last Thursday of Roberto Marrero, chief of staff of Juan Guaido, who is also accused of conspiracy and preparing terrorist acts on Venezuelan soil.

" We have just thwarted a plan of the evil puppet, which he personally directed, to kill me ," announced Saturday in front of his supporters President Nicolas Maduro before adding: " We will not be afraid to send these offenders in prison ".

Nicolas Maduro makes reference to the party of Juan Guaido, Voluntad Popular, which he does not hesitate to qualify as terrorist group. According to him, the charges were based on the evidence recovered by the police when Roberto Marrero, chief of staff of self-proclaimed President Juan Guaido, was arrested.

Evidence or staging?

Detailed evidence by the Minister of Communication and Information. Jorge Rodriguez showed Saturday, March 23 conversations on social networks recorded on the phone Roberto Marrero, which would indicate a desire to organize acts of sabotage and assassinations of Chavist leaders, all with the help of paramilitaries some of which would already be present on Venezuelan soil.

These unsupported accusations question, given that Roberto Marrero had denounced at the time of his arrest the manipulation of the police. In particular, they seized weapons that they had deposited in their home.

This is not the first time Nicolas Maduro has made accusations against Juan Guaido. But as time goes by, the authorities seem ready to arrest him, despite threats of reprisal from the United States.
