A new exhibition begins Wednesday, November 7 at the Historial de Vendée, Lucs-sur-Boulogne. She tells the daily life of the Vendeans during the First World War.

From November 7, 2018 to February 10, 2019, the Department proposes a new exhibition at the Historial de la Vendée. It is entitled "La Vendée, from the Great War to peace".

Through nearly 350 objects, films and archival photos, the exhibition returns to the everyday life of the Vendeans during the first world conflict, on the front and in Vendée.

It evokes the consequences of the post-war period and the memory of the 22,000 hairy Vendeans killed in action. Soldiers whose memory is perpetuated during the many commemorative ceremonies that will take place on November 11th on the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.

The Historial is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
