The Kin-Ball Gwened organized, on Sunday, October 28, 2018, the first regional Open of kin-ball in France at the sports center of Kercado, in Vannes. Seventeen teams (11 men and 6 women) played their first games of the new West league.

The men's team of Vannes club, with three players who have less than two months of practice kin-ball, was able to apprehend its first competition with three games on the day. We will note a good second place in their last match and two third places. "The dynamics of the team is encouraging for the future with good phases of the game. There is still a lot of work at the individual and collective level, but it is very positive for the future," said club coaching.
There are six opens in the year with three games for each team present. The best teams will play roadblocks to access the national divisions. The next open league of the Western league will take place on November 25 in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor). Teams 1 of the club (men's and women's) have an appointment for the second day of the national championship, November 18, in Nantes.
