To help us reduce the volume of our non-recycled waste, the Sysem, the waste treatment union of South-East Morbihan has set up about fifty workshops and visits, from November 17 to 24, 2018, within the framework of European Week of Waste Reduction. Before the first visit, we reveal the five reasons to go.

Brave little hands? Robots ? A very sophisticated machine? Have you wondered how are your plastic bottles, empty cake packages and other cans or food blocks sorted? To discover it, you must ask to visit the Venesys recyclable waste sorting center of the Sysem.
Installed in the industrial area of Prat since 2010, it sorts and packages, per year, 15,000 tons of recyclable light packaging and paper. 34 sorting agents take turns around treadmills and tromels able to make coarse sorts according to the size, the weight, the matter and the color thanks to cameras, magnets, jets of air, simply the gravity and the eye and the expert hand of its agents who correct the errors or errors of the machine.
To no longer make a sorting error
If the machine makes few mistakes or omissions, around 5%, which reduces its efficiency, it's our sorting errors. Batteries, battery, household products, textiles, etc., kilos of non recyclable waste, here, are spread by hand by agents after the opening of the yellow bags by the crocodile, a pendulum equipped with points which rips them on the feeder. Arrived here, they can not be valued as waste, worse they can damage the machines or even injure the agents with sharp objects or splashes of irritating products.
To think of the sorting agents who will open our trash
