United Nations General Secretary Guterres entered Nagasaki City on Sunday to attend the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Day Peace Memorial Ceremony. Tomihisa Tagami, Mayor of Nagasaki, Mr. Kazumi Matsui, Mayor of Hiroshima, representatives of A-bomb survivor groups, and talked about attitude toward nuclear disarmament.

Mr. Guterre praises the atomic bomb victims who have been working toward nuclear abolition in the testimony of the atomic bombing etc. as "heroes", but expressed concern that there is a trend towards nuclear disarmament in the world. "I would like to share not only your hopes but resolve as well" to the atomic bomb victims who told the atomic bomb victims, "I want to work hard with the United Nations until nuclear weapons run out," while touching the treaty on nuclear weapons.
