The resolution was supported by 189 countries, opposed by the United States and Israel.
Earlier, the Russian permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya called on Washington to support the document.
He noted that Moscow strongly condemns the American embargo against Cuba and is in favor of its immediate and complete abolition.
