Klimpush-Tsintsadze met in Zagreb with Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev to discuss bilateral cooperation and further intensify the dialogue between the countries.

"Russia does not demonstrate progress in the implementation of the PACE resolution on Russian military aggression against Ukraine," she said.

It is noted that she called on Macedonia, "as a friendly country and a candidate for EU membership, to impose sanctions against Russia and join the European policy in this direction."

In turn, Zaev said that Macedonia will support Ukraine at all international platforms.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine proposed the European Parliament to introduce new sanctions against Russia.

Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine and acts as a mediator in resolving the situation.
