“Ukraine recognizes Juan Guaido as the head of a single democratically elected government body of Venezuela - the National Assembly, as well as the leader of the democratic opposition,” Zelenko quotes UNIAN.
According to her, a return to democratic governance in the country depends on Guayido and other leaders of the political forces of Venezuela.
“In particular, by reaching agreements on holding democratic and certified by international election observers,” the diplomat said.
She stressed that the Ukrainian side calls for doing everything possible "to prevent the use of force to resolve a political crisis and, as a result, to counter an economic catastrophe."
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin compared the situation in Venezuela with the drive of the Maidan era.
