Later, the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Alexander Novak, said that the new agreement should be commercially attractive. He urged Ukraine to provide clear rules for the work of its CTA.

In turn, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Natalya Boyko said that Moscow would have to sign a new gas transit contract with Kiev because of the unavailability of Nord Stream 2.
