The United Arab Emirates, through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent, continues to run relief convoys to the poorest and low-income families in a number of Shabwa governorate districts as part of its humanitarian relief program.
During the period from 10 to 17 March, the Commission distributed 1170 food baskets containing the main components of food in the districts of Ataq, Nusab and Roum governorate, benefiting more than 8007 members of poor and needy families, which included the basic needs of the necessary foodstuffs.
The food aid has helped many families and parents who have paid tribute to these convoys, which have greatly succeeded in alleviating their suffering.
It is worth mentioning that the UAE Red Crescent Authority distributed 8262 food baskets during the year, benefiting more than 53814 people.
