“I want to tell an important news: it has just become known that the European Union launched an anti-corruption investigation against President Petro Poroshenko,” Tymoshenko said during a press conference that was broadcast on her Facebook page.

She also named the structures that she said began an investigation.

“Two structures: the first is the OLAF, this is the European anti-corruption office (European Anti-Fraud Office - RT ) ... The second structure is the British one, called the SFO, the British office that deals with corruption on a large scale. Two structures, as well as the court of Cyprus, took to the investigation corruption cases not after the fact, not some separate episodes, but specifically against Petro Poroshenko, ”Tymoshenko noted.

Earlier, Tymoshenko blamed the leadership of the country's Prosecutor General’s Office and the Security Service of Ukraine for covering up corruption in the defense sector.

Ukrainian political analyst Oleg Soskin told about the essence of anti-corruption wars in Ukraine in an interview with the National Socialist Party.
