As the adviser to the president of the company, Igor Demin, said, over the past few years, Transneft Diascan has diagnosed two branches of the Druzhba pipeline, RIA Novosti reports.

“In general, according to the results of diagnostics, the condition of oil pipelines was found to be satisfactory. Detected defects do not require an emergency stop to eliminate them, ”he added.

Demin stressed that Transneft, if necessary, is ready to help “in eliminating the identified defects” to Belarusian colleagues.

Earlier, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk should close oil pipelines and oil product pipelines for repairs, despite the transit from Russia.

Later it became known that Belarus is planning an overhaul of five sections of the "Friendship".

As stated by the authorities of Belarus, experts are studying the issue of blocking the pipeline.
