Abu Dhabi Public Services Company (Masanah) has commenced the implementation of the road improvement project of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (East Qurum Street) at an estimated cost of AED 97 million, having completed all the necessary work and equipment. In collaboration with the Department of Transport, Urban Planning and Municipalities Department, ADP GHQ, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Control and Control Center, and a number of other stakeholders.

She explained that the project starts from the intersection of the Ministries Street to the intersection of Qasr Al Bahr Street, while Sheikh Zayed Road will be extended from Dhafair Street to Salamah Bin Butti Street, adding a lane to five lanes instead of four, to accommodate traffic congestion at peak times and reduce Traffic congestion, as the street is a major link between the external areas and Abu Dhabi Island.

She pointed out that it will implement the expansion work in the project without any obstruction of traffic in the street as a main and vital road, where will be maintained traffic flows vehicles to maintain the tracks used and avoid closure, pointing out that the project employs 600 workers racing day and night to complete the project in Within 165 days according to the plan approved for implementation, in view of the importance of the project with adherence to the highest standards and global standards.
