Today (November 12), the summit of the two nations of the two Koreas met and agreed on the necessity of the third summit. Moon Jae-in referred to the need, and President Trump said it was possible. President Moon said earlier that he would push ahead with the inter-Korean summit sooner, and President Trump told the North Koreans to identify their position and inform them as soon as possible.

In a two-hour meeting at the White House, Moon Jae-in and Trump apprehended that top-down dialogue between North American leaders is essential to the peace process on the Korean peninsula.

[Trump / President: We have made a lot of progress. And we will continue the conversation in the future. Chairman Kim has a strong relationship with me.]

Mr. Moon, in particular, spoke to President Trump about the need for a timely third North - South summit, saying he is grateful that North Korea will not leave the dialogue.

[President Moon Jae-in: I think it is important to keep the momentum of the dialogue and to put the prospect of the third North American summit in the near future in the world.]

President Trump said that the talks with Kim Jong-un are always open.

He said he would not hurry, saying he should take steps to the summit.

President Moon also promised to push ahead with the inter-Korean summit soon.

A senior official of the presidential office said that the time and place of the summit talks had not yet been decided. He said that if he returns to his country, he will contact North Korea in earnest to promote the talks early.

President Moon urged President Trump to visit Korea in the near future, and Cheong Wa Dae said the US reaction was positive.

Mr. Moon is scheduled to return to Korea late today after a short 3 - day office visit.
