The boiling heat situation is similar to neighboring Japan. Japan's heatwaves continued to record meteorological records, while Tokyo's northern Saitama recorded a record high of 41.1 degrees.

The temperature of one of four weather stations across Japan has exceeded 35 degrees on the second day.

Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo, recorded a record high of 41.1 degrees. It is only five years since 2013 that Japan's highest temperature has been renewed.

Tokyo Oume City recorded 40.8 degrees, which is the first time Tokyo exceeded 40 degrees.

This is the thermometer I left on Ginza Road for about five minutes. More than 40 degrees, but the cars and roads warmed by the sun are so hot.

About 2,000 people are being transported to the hospital every day as a result of a heat wave. More than 10 people died last weekend, mostly older than 65.

The Japanese media reported that in the life-threatening heat the majority of the elderly are outdoors without air conditioning or preparing for the heat.

The Japan Meteorological Administration has warned that the heat, which is approaching 40 degrees, will continue throughout the week.
