"Today, at the airport of Frankfurt, a UAV was spotted ... Air transportation was suspended for 30 minutes until the police got a handle on the situation," a Twitter message said.
It is noted that this decision was made in the interests of passenger safety.
By now, the airport has been restored.
In late December, a number of flights were canceled and delayed at London’s Gatwick Airport after the appearance of two UAVs over the runway.
