It has been established that the investigation department of the police department in Kiev received a statement about the beating of “an employee of the Antonov Design Bureau for alleged involvement in fraudulent actions in currency exchange”.
“On this fact ... the information on the signs of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 125 (“Intentional slight bodily harm”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and a pre-trial investigation has been launched, ”the message says.
As noted, during the examination of the materials of the criminal proceedings and the interrogation of the victim, circumstances were established that indicate “possible involvement of police officers in these events”.
“In view of the foregoing, the local prosecutor’s office ... provided information about the criminal offense committed by police officers, under part 2 of Art. 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ", - added the department.
