“On March 15, 2019, the B-52 plane of the US Air Force made a flight with a transponder turned over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea to a parallel course to the territorial waters of the Russian Federation,” TASS quoted the agency’s statement.

The Defense Ministry also noted that the B-52 was not close to the Russian borders closer than 150 km.

“He made a U-turn in the opposite direction immediately after taking him to escort the Russian anti-aircraft defense on duty,” the ministry concluded.

Earlier, the monitoring resource PlaneRadar in its Twitter reported that the American B-52 bomber carried out maneuvers near the borders of Russia in the Baltic region.
