RAKA attributed the return of the groundwater wells of the Ghail farms to the transfer of underground water in the rocky soil and its ability to contain the water and its flow in the wells according to its depth.

Abdulla Ali Al Mazrouei, a farmer, told Emirates Al-Youm that after seven years he returned to cultivating vegetables and fruits in his farm after fresh water flowed into the groundwater wells, which dried up due to lack of rain and filled with saltwater unsuitable for agriculture.

He explained that he owns two farms in Al-Ghail and Wadi Al-Sira, and that he has not seen a significant inflow of fresh water in the groundwater wells over the past years, pointing out that the drought of the land led to his reluctance to agriculture.

He added that he owns two old wells of the "fold" type, where they were dug by ancestors in traditional ways. He added that he was surprised to fill the wells with fresh water after heavy rains during the past weeks, pointing out that the farmers also citizens in the Gail were surprised to fill their wells with fresh water.

The farmer Mohammed Abdullah said that the palms and trees have died of drought and water cuts from the groundwater wells during the past seven years, and that the flow of water to the wells drew joy on the faces of farmers who came with the rains in recent weeks.

He explained: «We have dug a number of wells to obtain groundwater during the past periods, but our attempts did not succeed, which led to the death of palm trees and the loss of trees and agricultural crops», pointing out that the earth thirsted for lack of water, and the flow of groundwater wells fresh water again contributed to To restore life to orchards and farms, and encouraged the citizen to return to agriculture and attention to his land again.

He pointed out that the area of ​​Ghail has been famous for its green farms and the influx of tourists and visitors from all regions to enjoy its natural atmosphere and green orchards, and its ongoing flooding with fresh water, and wells filled with groundwater.

Farmer Ali al-Mazroui said that all farmers in the Ghail region are eagerly awaiting the return of life to their farms through the fresh water flow in the groundwater wells, after the drought years experienced by the farms as a result of the drying of wells and turning them into bird nest and deserted places for animals.

He was surprised by the fresh water flow of the underground wells. He said that he immediately arranged his land for agriculture, as farms die without fresh groundwater.

He explained that he began to irrigate the palm trees that were about to die. Berri planted the land with vegetables and fruits and planted grass to provide livestock.
