“Currently, one of the main negative factors affecting the state of information security is the building up of information technology capabilities on information infrastructure for military purposes by a number of foreign countries,” said Kuznetsov.

He noted that in view of the new threats to information security, NWHS is working to ensure the security of information in the automated systems of the Russian defense ministry. Work is also underway to detect the prevention and mitigate the effects of cyber attacks on critical objects of the Russian Armed Forces.

In October, the Netherlands Defense Minister Ank Beyuveld declared that her country was leading a “cyber war” with Russia.
