A student in the first grade of the elementary school, Benofer School in Kafr El-Zayat, Gharbia Governorate, was killed after falling inside a sewage drain, behind a school building, while the child was walking behind the building while he was standing in front of the sink.

The child's body was recovered from the sink after attempts to rescue him failed.

A source within the Directorate of Education that the student named Mohammed Bahnasi, and the first class was a mathematical education, pointing out that the student left his colleagues in the sports and went with two of the students and went behind one of the buildings fell inside the sewage sink.

Immediately after the incident, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Ghareeb Al-Shennawi Ayed, formed an urgent committee of legal affairs in the Directorate and the Kafr El-Zayyat Educational Administration to investigate the incident and punish the defaulters, starting with the headmaster, supervisors and the physical education teacher.

For his part, the Governor of Al-Gharbia, Major General Hisham Al-Saeed, referred the head of the school, the school of art education and the supervisor of the school to the Public Prosecution to investigate the incident of the fall of a student in a shed inside the school and their suspension from work until the completion of the prosecution.

The Governor of Gharbia instructed the Directorate of Social Solidarity to pay the sum of 10 thousand pounds to the family of the student.
