According to RIA Novosti, he was found guilty in the case of treason.
“To find him guilty of committing the crimes stipulated by part 1 of article 111, part 5 of article 27, part 2 of article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to under part 1 of article 11 as 13 years in prison,” the presiding judge Vladislav Devyatko read out the sentence.
As stressed by Devyatko, define Yanukovych “the final punishment in the form of 13 years imprisonment”.
The arrest of Yanukovych's property is upheld.
Earlier, the Kiev court acquitted Yanukovych under the article on an attempt to change the borders of the state.
