As kp.ru reports, the 54-year-old former Minister of the Environment of the Astrakhan Region, Vitaly Kurskov, was sentenced to 24 years in a strict regime colony. His accomplice - 56-year-old former deputy of the Astrakhan Regional Duma Igor Poplevko received 16 years of strict regime.
It is noted that from 2016 to 2018, the police counted 78 episodes of crimes against minors.
In the criminal case are 10 victims - children aged 8 to 17 years.
The evidence collected by the investigators was deemed sufficient by the court to convict. The court found the former deputies guilty under six articles of the criminal code.
