The team of divers of the Sharjah police found yesterday the body of a mixer driver of Arab nationality, at a depth of seven meters in the Wadi Al-Qor lake in Ras Al Khaimah, after the loss of his body for five days.

The driver died of drowning last Tuesday as a result of draining the waters of the valley (south of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah) to his truck inside the valley, which led to the deviation from the course and degradation and drowning.

Majid al-Naqbi, head of Al-Manaii police station in Ras Al Khaimah, said rescue teams involved in the search for the body of the driver were made up of police in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah along with Ras Al Khaimah police.

He added that the driver sank after trying to cut Wadi Al-Qor, as his truck deviated (mixer) due to the strength of running water of the valley. Although he managed to jump into the valley and try to reach the land, the waters of the valley swept him away, and the divers of the Sharjah Police found his body seven meters from the valley lake and about 1.5 kilometers from the scene.
