An Egyptian lawyer blew himself up by surprise, handing over documents to the Administrative Court stating that there were no signatures for parliamentarians to amend the constitution, which was said to have been made by 155 deputies about two months ago for constitutional amendments.

The constitution stipulates that five members of parliament must submit a request for amendment, which should be discussed and approved in a public session before being submitted to the popular referendum.

Attorney Ali Ayoub filed a lawsuit to invalidate the constitutional amendment procedure, based on the collision of the amendment to the term of the President of the Republic, with an article stating that it will not be affected unless the amendment is for further guarantees.

On the sidelines of a hearing on the constitutional amendments, the Court recently called on Ayoub to compel the State Commission to present the minutes of the 50th Committee and the Ten Committee on the articles to be amended in the Constitution and the explanatory note to the same articles as well as the reports of the Sub-Commission and the public.

At the start of the hearing, the lawyer asked the court to ask the representatives of the State Affairs Committee about those documents. They replied to the head of the department that they had sent the required documents to the House of Representatives and had not yet received a reply.

Ayoub immediately presented a copy of the report of the General Committee of the Parliament and also provided a copy of the alleged request from the 155 members of the parliament who were said to represent more than five members of the Council was surprised that the request was completely devoid of any signatures, There is a list of signatures attached herewith.

Ayoub argued before the court that the request for constitutional amendments was submitted anonymously, which contravenes the law. He was not one of the lawyers of the State Prosecution. However, the court rejected the documents submitted by him. The court demanded that the administrative body submit the original documents, The origin of which is within the House of Representatives.
