A specialist in business services, the Rennes-based company Samsic has acquired Itiremia, a subsidiary of SNCF that manages the personnel responsible for informing travelers and red vests.

By acquiring Itiremia, a subsidiary of SNCF, the Samsic Group is strengthening its service activities, just like what can be done on airport activities.

The aim of the Samsic Group, via its Samsic City business to which Itremia is now attached, is to "capitalize on human and professional know-how to develop it on existing customers," the group said.

650 employees

Itiremia is one of the leaders in France of services in the station (care for people in a situation of disability, management of luggage orders, objects found, ...) and events (crossing tracks, flow management ...). Its 650 employees are recognizable by their "red vests".

Reception, information, orientation, support, assistance for travelers, VIPs, visitors, disabled people: Itremia is present at airports, train stations, congress centers or sports facilities.

"Opportunity" for Samsic

"This acquisition is a great opportunity for the Samsic Group to strengthen its links with the SNCF Group and all players in land and maritime transport and to benefit from professional teams to develop. This is a great strategic opportunity for our group, " says Guy Roulleau, president of Samsic Facility, on the company's website.

Future seat near the station

In September, the Samsic group announced that it was going to set up its head office near the TGV station in the EuroRennes district. An extensive real estate program, with five buildings expected to be completed in 2023.
