SC checks the actions of an ex-investigator who did not initiate a case of violations in the Yaroslavl colony

"A year ago investigator Rodion Svirsky refused to open a criminal case after beating Evgeny Makarov. Now a check is organized against him. Now Svirsky does not work in the Investigation Department, as far as I know, he is a serviceman, "she said.

Huzovskaya noted that Svirsky resigned from the SS SK for the region in November last year.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported the detention of six employees of the Yaroslavl colony. In addition, searches and seizure of documents were carried out in the territory of the correctional colony and the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Yaroslavl Region.

On July 20, the UK initiated a criminal investigation into the abuse of authority after the appearance in the media of information about torture in the colony in the Yaroslavl region. According to the investigation, the officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the territory of the correctional colony No. 1, "deliberately, clearly exceeding the limits of their official powers, used violence against the prisoner".
