In addition, the ministry noted that in the context of the initiative of the Bolivarian Republic to create an informal group of countries in support of, inter alia, the UN Charter "stressed the need to respect ... state sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, non-use of force or threat of force."

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed doubt that, due to the situation around Venezuela in Latin America, the Caribbean crisis could recur.
