Karasina said that during the consultations, statements by the Ukrainian authorities about the Sea of Azov, "where the so-called militarization of the sea is artificially inflated, were discussed."

He stressed that “this is an artificial construction aimed at escalating
the situation in the Sea of Azov ”, and in fact Russia acts within the framework of international law.

"We agreed on this occasion to exchange information and statistics in order to bring to clear water those forces that are trying to artificially create a new international problem in the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait," Karasin concluded.

Earlier, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania called on the G7 and the EU to impose sanctions on Russian ports in the Sea of Azov because of their interaction with the ports of Crimea.
