Theresa May now has one last chance, according to the right-wing liberal Times . The EU has given the British Prime Minister a "three-week rescue line" agreed after "almost seven hours of fighting". But the leaders had issued a clear warning in case May would not get the deal through Parliament. The consequence is then: "Britain will be forced to decide between a no-deal Brexit or the participation in the European elections."

"The Brexit is late," is the headline of the "Daily Mail" . The tabloid writes that after "hours of nerve-wracking negotiations" May and Brussels had agreed on "postponing the date of withdrawal". "Until May 22, if the House of Commons agrees to May's deal - or until April 12, if it fails."

The left-liberal "Guardian" writes: "May has failed with her request, the EU takes control of the Brexit date". The paper also said that May's request for a three-month extension of the exit date was unconvincing. She had "miserably failed to give an answer to the question of what she does when the Members once again reject their agreement".

Similarly, the conservative newspaper "Daily Telegraph" : "The EU takes control of the Brexit schedule, May is banished to the sidelines," it said. The EU is turning the screws on by rejecting May's request and making April 12 the "day of decision if its agreement fails for the third time". May will now have to try to overcome the split in her party.

The business-liberal "Financial Times" writes that May is facing the "national emergency", the EU is playing poker with the "Brexit guillotine". In two comments, the business paper deals with the "Brexit nightmare" - once with the headline "May plays Russian roulette with Great Britain", the second text has the thesis "Why no deal means a long-lasting misery".
