Russian President Vladimir Putin is concerned about the popularity of "resistance music" rap, emphasizing the need for regulation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that if he does not stop the rap music, he should lead and guide it at a cultural event held in the Russian city of St. Petersburg on Wednesday.

Putin said, "The axis of the rap is three things: sex, drugs and resistance."

"This is the way the country is going down" and "drug propaganda" is worse than the curse, especially with the concern that rap music is drugged, he said.

Putin 's remarks are in line with recent Russian air raids on popular music.

On December 21, Russian authorities detained rapper Husky for illegal public performance.

Husky is popular in Russia online as rap with lyrics that criticize poverty, corruption, and police brutality.

On the 26th of last month, Husky supported the concert, including Alexei Nabalny, who is called Putin Kanghwa.
