Kozhemyako at a meeting with the president said that he wants to participate in the upcoming repeat elections of the head of Primorye. In turn, Putin noted that he did not object to Kozhemyako's participation.

The head of state said that the current head of the Primorye Territory, Andrei Tarasenko, was asked for another job.

"If you made such a decision for yourself, then I will have to appoint you acting head of the Primorsky Territory," Putin said.

Kozhemyako noted that his decision was well-adjusted, "with the understanding that there is a lot of work to be done."

"I wish you good luck," the president concluded.

Earlier, Putin announced the transfer of the head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Yuri Kokov, to another job in Moscow.
