He expressed regret that the Ukrainian authorities are making "such rash decisions."
“From our point of view, this is a manifestation of disrespect for one’s own people and their interests,” he added.
On December 10, the Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko signed the law on the termination of the friendship treaty with Russia.
As Poroshenko said, the non-renewal of the agreement should be perceived as part of a strategy that aims at "a final break with the colonial past."
