Paratroopers of the Southern Military District attracted to work on emergency response in the Krasnodar Territory

This informs RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Vadim Astafyev.

"Today, 80 paratroopers began work on the elimination of the consequences of the flood in the settlement of Turkey, and at the railway station of the same name in the Tuapse district," he said.

It is noted that in total 200 soldiers and more than 20 units of heavy engineering equipment of the Southern Military District were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the flood in the Absheron and Tuapse districts of the region.

Earlier, the governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev instructed to complete the clearance of the flood-affected communities in the Absheron district by the evening of October 29.
